Really stupid question to ask here BW. This group is
frequented mainly by industry types, those who use
photoshop for their business and work and thus pay
for it. Those of us that wish to try it out will be flamed
as if thieves of the lowest order and if wanting to
activate a pirated version, expect some sort of
nuclear device to be posted to you via snail-mail.

Some people simply don't like paying for something
and then watching others use it for free. Fair enough.

I suggest you try one of the more aptly named
BINARY groups for your "purchase".

to all in comp.graphics.apps.photoshop:

Just my thoughts... There are more deserving folks that need help
here. I don't see why anyone asking for free copies of software
should even get one reply. I mean not even a "get lost."

They much don't care what you think and some will just ask to annoy
and get attention.

We'll have less of this nonsense if we don't play.

What about the knob-end that asks "what is the
information worth to you?" for nearly every single
question posed here ?

Try alt.binaries.multimedia.utilities I believe I saw it there
but I can't remember exactly. I would never download something illegal
myself.

If all you want is to "try it out", then Adobe provides trial versions
for trying out Photoshop.

So why would anyone want a cracked version..... other than the
obvious, flameworthy reason?

The gentleman asked a legitimate question regarding where to locate the software to "test." It would be safe to assume that before shelling out $700 for the software, one would want to kick the tires before making such a purchase.

Far to often forums such as this take on an elitist attitude towards those with less knowledge than the group as a whole. Further, the only way one acquires that knowledge is by asking questions of those who already possess it.

If his expectation was to locate a Warez site or forum, where he would download the software and obtain a crack, keygen or serial, he simply could have searched Google and located hundreds. Therefore, by coming to this forum it should be obvious by even the most cynical, the question was genuine in nature.

Let us all hope that you do not find yourself in a similar situation, where you are branded a "newbie" and dismissed for the absurdity of a simple inquiry.

Or he was too lazy to go to Google and was looking for a sucker that wanted
to share a program that cost $700 with a stranger. Personally, I find this
more likely.

In fact the Gentle man can go directly to
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html and download a full copy
and try it. Of course it will expire in 30 days but that should be enough
time to "kick tires"
