PS CS - Image Resize in Pixels ?

I want to resize an image for web use.
ISTM that i've done a right-click -> File Info on an image and been
able to select pixels from the list that includes inches, cm, pica,
etc. I don't see pixels. Am I imagining things ?
I don't see why it makes me to the calculation.

Image > Image Size, check constrain and resample, pick 'bicubic
sharper' instead of bicubic if you're making it smaller, plug in the
width or height with 'pixels' instead of 'percent' selected.

Maybe this was with a different program? Right-clicking in CS doesn't
seem to bring up any menus for resizing but maybe I'm missing
something.

I don't think I completely understand what you are doing. Best option is to
use 'save for web'. Once there click on 'Image size', enter the new size in
pixels. Click apply. Won't affect the size of your original. Also handy -
click on the small arrow next to preset, and you can choose 'optimise to
file size'.

do you mean you want to see the pixel dimension on the rulers? for cropping
?

1. Image > Image size
2. Make sure the "Resample image" box IS checked
3. The top half of the window displays the "Pixel size" dialogs. The
bottom portion of the window displays "Document size" (where you'll see
inches, picas, etc). "Resample" must be checked or you don't have access
to pixel dimensions.
Resizing through Save for Web is sometimes a bad idea, as you normally
have to do some judgmental unsharp masking after you downsample. You can
always revert to a previous history state if need be after downsampling.

Brrr - had nasty experiences of resizing that way for the web - sure you can
revert to history - if you don't forget and save the file first! Just too
risky so I avoid it. Most of my save for web is just for previewing etc so
the quality of the full size is what is most important.

Saving the file does not erase history. So long as you don't purge
history, you can always revert to a previous state.

In this case, advising someone to resize using Save for Web (rather than
using that function for previewing or outputting final web-ready files)
is far less than ideal as it doesn't produce the best, sharpest image in
all circumstances.

What kind of sizing are we talking about, dimension or file size? The
