first thing, wat is a color cast?

it is a cast of any one color, may be green, red, blue, etc, at times mixed colors on the normal photograph. even on b/w photos there r casts.

1. u can remove a color cast from ur photo simply by giving the auto color command.

note: u can even remove it by giving the auto levels command but it is not that much effective, but in some cases it may be effective more than auto color.

2. u can also remove the cast by selective color command. In this command u can select the color which represents the cast and reduce the amount of that color.

note: plz keep the option to absolute rather than relative, coz absolute means absolute, it takes all the similar color pixels and in relative it just takes the majority of the same colored pixels.

3. this is a lengthy process, but it is more effective.
first desaturate the whole photo and then restore it by using the levels and colorbalance command.

4. view the photograph in channels. ctrl+1 for red, ctrl+2 for green and ctrl+3 for blue. see whether the particular cast is gettin removed or no. u will see a desaturated image i.e b/w image. if it is red cast it will get removed in the red cast, if green then green, if blue then blue. and then u restore it as u r restoring a b/w photograph.

note: this option is for removing most of the dust and cast that u see in the pic.

there are numerous ways in which a single task can be carries in PShop so pls dont think these are the only ways u can remove a cast, but for what i think these r the simplest and easiest ways. so enjoy guys.
