Disk error -108 occured while reading or writing to a scratch disk...
|

| Hello,
I use Photoshop CS2 and have the following error:
"Disk error -108 occured while reading or writing to a scratch disk...
Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable..."
Followed by "cannot handle your request because of a program error."
Can anyone help or has anyone the same problem?
I have put more memory in (1GB) and it takes longer before the error
occurres, but it is still there!
Disk problem? Memory problem?
Thanks in advance,
Hans

| Most likely disk problem.
If it's a WinXP or Win2K PC, right-click on "My Computer" - Choose
"Manage" - then "Event Logs" and check the system log for disk errors.

| Hello again,
Thanks for your reply!
The disk wasn't bad.
When I've putted more memory it took longer before the error occurred but it
dit still did.
I also tried to change the amount of memory used by the scratch disk, but it
didn't help either.
Reinstalling PhotoShop program (suite) solved the problem.
So, I couldn't determinate the exact cause. Maybe one of the plug-ins caused
it.
Even with the scratch disk being used on two separate systems, sharing the
same scratch disk via a
network works now!
Thanks again for the suggestions.
Hans
