Author Rearranging in Browser mode of Organizer(?)

I am new to Elements 4.0, and really must be missing something.
In the Photo Browser mode of Organizer, I would like to place the
photos in the order that *I* would like them in -- in the order that
makes the most sense from the viewer's perspective -- based upon
subject, composition, lighting, framing, etc.

However, what I seem to be learning is that there are four, and four
only, predefined ways to order the photos in the Photo Browser mode:
Date(ascending), Date(descending), by Import order, or by Folder
location.

I surely have to be missing something. It would seem to me that the
purpose of an "Organizer" would be to help the user to "organize" a
collection in the manner that pleases him -- not according to somebody
else's pre-defined criteria.

Can some kind soul please tell me what I am doing wrong, and how to do
it correctly, to "organize" the photos in the order that I wish?

Or, if I simply haven't done enough homework yet, could you please
tell me what I should be studying?

Thank you very much, in advance,
Robert
