| Hi
Anybody come across a tutorial for PS whch allows you to write text in
clouds in the sky so the clouds look like words in the sky????

| Yes, but I can't remember where. Basically you choose a brush with low hardness
and set the spacing* to a large value. It is much easier to do freehand writing
with a pen rather than a mouse.
One way to skywrite from a text layer:-
0 Make the current brush soft, spaced out (and jittery if you have CS).
1 Ctrl-click text layer to select the text
2 Make a new layer and select it
3 Select->Modify->Contract and choose a value that makes the selection thin
4 In the paths palette window, under the little arrow-in-a-circle there's a
"Make work path" option. Choose that.
5 Under the same menu, the "Stroke path..." option should now be available. Use
the Brush option. If the option isn't available, make sure an ordinary layer is
selected in the layers palette.
6 Try again with different brush settings unless you were really lucky with the
settings the first time. You only need to go back in the history to before
"Stroke path" before adjusting the brush.
7 Now blur as desired.
HTH
Andrew
*In PS CS, when you select the brushes menu a little arrow appears next to the
brush menu's title; choose the expanded view then "brush tip shape" to find the
spacing setting. The jitter settings in the other sections allow you to make it
look less artificial, but it may be easier to just manually apply blobs.

I don't think that's what he wants, but that is also a dumb way to get
that effect. Better to have the text under the image and Alt-click
(Option-click on Mac) on the line between the two layers to Group them.
Then both the image and the text can be moved independently and the text
remains editable.
But I get the sense that he wants letters made of cloud.
