Determining a Font

Hi,

I have some text images, and I'm trying to determine exactly what font
was used to create the text. Does Photoshop offer any way to reverse
engineer a font -- ie, look at the pixel patterns of the various
letters and then match them to the correct font?

It looks like a fairly standard font, so I'm hoping that if the above
is not possible someone might even be able to recognize it by sight.

I've already scrolled through every font on my system without finding
an exact match, though I've found some close ones. If anyone knows the
exact font, can you please let me know its name, and where I can get
it. If not, I'd appreciate any other suggestions about how to solve
the problem.

That looks like a bitmapped screen font, possibly from the X Windows
System. Come to think of it, it reminds me of the console font on
early SGI workstations. Anyway, it has a Unix sort of look to it.
