| I am ordering a Dell X300 1.2gig centrino laptop and will be using a
digital camera that produces jpgs that open up to 23.5 mb. While my
11.5mb images are good enough for my old laptop with 512 mb, the
monstrosity of the 23.5 mb files are a concern.
The x300 comes with a 128mb card built in and I can add 512mb or 1gig.
Money is of concern as the 512 is $116 and the 1gig is $425.
How well will PS7 and Photomechanic 4.1.1(takes about 256mb to run)
run with 640mb on Win xp? Is that enough? 512mb runs fine with my
older 1.7gig laptop and 18mb files. But since the x300 is slower I am
wondering if more ram will speed things up.
In any case, I could get 512mb now and perhaps upgrade later when the
1gig price falls.
Whaddaya think?
