John Doe

2004-12-16, 7:14 pm

I don't know if any of your are interested but Ultra-Sharpen is on sale now
for $10. That is $5 less than the normal price. The sale ends on the 23rd. I
just picked up another copy for my laptop and thought I would pass this on.

No need to post such a lame spam, just come out and say it.
It's a good product.

Go to the web site and look at the copyright at the bottom. I have nothing
to do with Ultra-Sharpen other than I am a user and I love it. Geeze people
are so freaky over such little things.

Assuming your real name is John Doe and that you are not the Uncle, Father,
Niece, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, Employee, etc., etc., etc., of Carol Barnett
maybe Scruff owes you an apology, but superficially your post does have the
appearance of being spam!!!

I do not know the proper definition but I consider Spam anything
suggesting me to purchase something that I did not specifically
inquire about. Makes no difference to me who is getting the profits.

Yes I would go along with that to a point, however, if you come across
something that you consider would be of interest to the majority of a
newsgroups users I see no harm in passing along the details!! especially if
it is Free - for instance I would recommend Photo Story 3 for Windows. this
is a microsoft give away and it is worth having a look at the site!!

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...ry/default.mspx

Of course it is a different matter when someone who has never contributed
before suddenly shows up extolling the virtues of something or other - But
John Doe is a regular contributor to this newsgroup and as far as I know has
never recommended anything before

APOLOGY!??
Get a friggin grip.
I don't care if he's the man in the moon, Harry.
A link to a site that charges for something is spam.
The fact that it's from "John Doe" and has every earmark of the shitloads of
spam traveling around the net, makes it "Spam"!
That said I'm sure John Doe is a nice guy doing us all a favor. I even said
that I have Ultra-Sharpen and I love it!

No more than when someone posts a message talking about someone else's

all.

Yes, my real name is John Doe, my parents had one hell of a sense of humor
one that has caused me no end of trouble especially in high school.

Well, look up spam and it doesn't saying anything about newsgroups. Spam are
unwanted messages coming in the form of e-mail. If I had the same way of
looking at things as you, 90% of the posts on Usenet groups would be
considered spam.

All the other nasty comments aside. Who has used the product, and how
good is it? Is it worth the $10 for the "Pro" version, or is the free
"lite" version enough?

The Lite version works well if your images are between 1 and 2MB in file
size. If you need to sharpen images that are larger or smaller then the Pro
version will give you the control. The Pro version also allows you to
control haloing as well as what does and doesn't get sharpened and how much
easy area gets. The free Lite version does not.
