Author CS File Browser screws up file dates

When using the CS File Browser and changing Metadata IPTC description, the
Date Created and Date Modified of File Properties automatically change to
weird and useless values. Both dates are the same. Examples include
2/18/2027 and 4/15/1995, neither of which makes any sense. How can I stop
this?

Don't use the CS file Browser is the only cure I know of.
