| Before I type this-- I have no financial connection to the seller, writer or
publisher of this book--- I was just in Borders last night, saw it, and
thought I'd pass along the info.
OK, everyone who reads my posts knows that I bought and love Art of
Photoshop by Daniel Giordan, (because it is so gorgeous and smart at the
same time--- if I could find a man as fabulous-looking and intelligent as
this book I might revise my thoughts on marriage) but Dan has another book
out "How to Use Photoshop CS" that is just plain excellent.
Not encyclopedic like the PSCS Bible or Willmore's Studio Techniques, but an
excellent primer book on the newest version of PS. Full color, every step
well described and illustrated, and practical, it introduces the user
specifically to both the core and new features of CS and why you ought to
care about them. Practical, smart, logical, and painstakingly illustrated--
it's also an attractive book to look at.
Not the book for a guru who has been using PS since version 1 (but *they'll*
love Art of Photoshop), but I may just have found a new text for my Intro to
Photoshop class. A great book of CS basic core skills.
