My server expects the home page to be "index.html" Corel outputs (when
using "Publish to web" and its associated FTP system) as "index.htm"
is there anyway of changing this default extension (apart from
maunually changing it)

I believe not . . . without fail, I fine-tune all my HTML in a dedicated markup
editor (HTML-Kit in this case).

Corel--being the listening Corporation they are--has to balance the wishes of
those who want the features in HTML Export, and those who do not.

Alas, it seems those who do not have a stronger voice, so updates to the code
are slim (if there are any, at all).

My suggestion is to change the extension yerfelf, and smile :)

Which is fair enough. Corel is not a web authoring program - there are
plenty of those around to choose from.
