| Hi,
Does anyone else think that all this 2.0 styling (big text, reflections,
liquid graphics) is going to become as naff as flaming text and star field
backgrounds are today?

I suppose next you'll be saying that waving flag animated GIFs are tacky.

Well, let me just say that rotating 3D envelopes to indicate an email
capability on a website will always be regarded as the absolute pinacle of
good taste.
Plus, a picture of a construction worker with a "Page under construction"
message is just about the most usefull, helpfull and non-annoying thing you
can find on a website. Especially if it's still there when you check back 6
months later.

| whoah, everybody is entitled to an opinion. to rephrase my rather lame
previous sentence, i like this new stuff, but then again, i wasn't
around when the web was born, so my view of the web being to entertain
and not to educate (well, not solely) and pertain information is shown
in my opinion. for me, this stuff will always be what the web means to
me. for me, it'll not become like the good ol' starfield.
