urgent --question on Internet Marketing

I am helping a very tiny internet startup.

We are looking to use Affiliate Marketing as a means to start
marketing.

Since we are on a very tight budget, we need Affiliate Marketing
companies
that do not ask for sign up / upfront fees.( like Commission
Junction). A tiny amount
maybe acceptable.

Could anyone "recommend" such companies that we can approach ?

Any do's and dont's with Affiliate Marketing ?

Any success / horror stories ?

Any input on Affiliate Marketing would be highly appreciated. If you
feel other forms of marketing are superior, pls suggest any.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Marketing your own product or service. But if this an urgent request,
perhaps that won't work for your client. It takes time to build a
successful on-line business.

Don't.

If you need advertising, use an agency. If you have a micro budget,
try Google Adwords.

Google Adwords can be a good link, but can prove open to click fraud
and may be expensive as you are paying for traffic, not end results -
that is why many people turn to affiliate programs.

Tradedoubler (http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?

advertisers - and dealmediagroup (http://www.dgm2.com/m/affsignup/

market.
