IE 7 blocking simple javascripts and embedded videos

| Is there a way to circumvent IE7's drastic measures that block some
javascript and embedded videos? I have a web site that has these
problems, and there's the notorious yellow bar on top that says some
content was blocked, but my visitors don't know much about computing
and just say it doesn't work. How could I solve this problem?
Thanks,

Write a paragraph on your site explaining the situation?

This is what I've done, but even if it's in bold and quite visible,
people don't look at these notes.

One alternative is to use either Flash Video or a java video player,
such as provided by Forbidden Technologies (http://
www.forbidden.co.uk)
Unfortunately there is no other way to circumvent this if your site
uses Javascript. It is one of Microsoft's security enhancements and
is not limited to only IE7.

embed a streaming flash video player and convert the movies to flv.

Isn't it amazing what people don't see? I've tried putting important
info in bold, red, you-name-it and people *still* don't look at it.

I have yet to see a problem, however complicated, which when you looked at
it in the right way, did not become still more complicated. ~ Poul Anderson

try lovering the IE security level. by default it is set to high. you can do it under internet options - privacy tab. |
