Yes I like ther service. but....

http://www.dreamhost.com/spam.html
Other

1. Predominately promotional messages must not be posted to
bulletin boards, discussion forums, guestbooks, Usenet newsgroups, or
any other similar service unless the operator of that service
explicitly allows such messages. In the case of Usenet newsgroups,
such messages must be specifically allowed in that group's charter.

Dreamhost has no plans with just 200 _megs_ of space, but does have one that
starts at around 175 _gigs_ of space -- the "L1" plan, priced at a fairly
reasonable $9.95 per month.
According to DH, "That promo code gives the following discounts: L1 (0
years): $50.00 off; L1 (1 year): $97.00 off; L1 (2 years): $97.00 off." The
code produces similar stepped discounts for larger-capacity plans.
So a year of L1 hosting would be $119.40 before the discount, and $22.40
after it. Additional years would presumably be at the full rate.Opting for
the two-year plan drops the rate to $7.95/month, or $190.80 for two years,
before the discount which brings it to $93.80 for the two years.

so full cost monthly paying the full boat is 175g's for the 9's?
and you call that reasonable?

I am not a Dreamhost customer and have no connection with them, other than
at times considering them as a possible supplier of hosting services. I
simply said their basic rate of $10/month for 175 gigs of disk space seems
"fairly reasonable." Hostgator charges the same for 100 gigs of space. At
Hostnine that fee gets you less than 8 gigs. IPowerWeb charges $8/mo for 200
gig, with a 12 month commitment. So DH seems to offer a better deal than
some, less good than others, judged on the "retail" rate. My point was
simply that the original post mis-stated the disk space (as megs rather than
gigs) and didn't explain that the price would rise significantly after the
initial period.

ok
didn't think anyone could think that pricing structure was anywhere
near reality
