How to install onw Web Server?
|
|
|
| Dear Forum4designers.com Team,
Dear Support Team,
Could you guide me, how to install my own web server?
Idea from me:
1- Internet Connection with two public IP (Web Server and Mail Server)
2- Request ISP company to host name server like bellow:
Web Server and Mail Server:
a- www.mydomain.com : Public IP is 207.104.168.22 (Example)
b- smtp.mydomain.com : Public IP is 202.178.112.22 (Example)
MX Records:
mydomain.com MX preference = 10, mail exchange = smtp.mydomain.com
3- Domain Name: mydomain.com
Domain Pointer
ns1.myisp.com (ISP company will provide NS for me)
ns2.myisp.com (ISP company will provide NS for me)
4- Windows 2003
Apache webserver, mysql server and PHP.
5- Cisco Router
1- Eth0 (From Modem that provided by ISP)
2- Eth1 (Connect to the Web Server)
3- Eth2 (Connect to the Exchange mail server)
My question:
If i do ask what i planed as above it's work or not?
Thanks and Regards,

| You said you'll be running Apache, mysql and PHP. You know, the best, "native" platform for these servers is actually Unix. So I suggest you to change Windows 2003 in your "wishlist" to FreeBSD or some Linux installation (Gentoo rocks). This way you'll be sure your server will work 24/7. |
