Hello,

I wonder if there would be an open-source free ecommerce solution for a
French website. Something reliable and easy to implement in an existing
website to offer a payment with VISA, mastercard and Paypal?

Hi Jean-Guy,

OsCommerce is a very well-known Open Source ecommerce package that is
available in many languages. I've used it to create a few shops
(here's an example, http://terranaturals.com/) and, while it requires
some programming ability and can take time to customize, has a lot of
plugins and contributions that make it very flexible. It can handle
Visa, Mastercard and Paypal out of the box, as well as work out taxes
and shipping charges. It works for "real" goods that require
shipping, but also has a contribution you can install for paid
downloads, memberships, etc. Here's the French portal:

If you don't have much programming knowledge (PHP and MySQL) or are on
a tight deadline, I'd recommend hiring someone to set it up for you
(shouldn't cost more than $100-$200). Some sites provide hosting and
package customization in one. You should be able to find the info on
the portal.
