Remote Control of PowerPoint?

I'm helping out a non-profit outfit that wants to offer webinars to folks
around the country. The speakers would also be located in various cities.
They'd be shipped a case containing a laptop, webcam, etc. The speaker would
upload his/her PowerPoint to the website in advance of the webinar, and at
the appointed time would talk at the webcam, and control the PowerPoint via
the laptop. The audio could be carried on the website, or could be a
phone-in conference call.

I don't know squat about how to feed live video from a webcam to a window on
a web page, and have no idea how to provide a "remote control" portal for
the presenter, so he/she can decide when to move from one PowerPoint page to
the next.

I will probably job this out, but would like to understand the elements
enough first so I can explain to the pro what we need and can evaluate their
proposals for getting it done.

If anyone can provide some basic information, or point me to a
video-for-dummies and/or PowerPoint-on-the-Web-for-dummies resources, I'd be
very grateful.

Alex,

Make it easy. Use one of the sites specializing in webinars. It's much
easier.

And you aren't going to be spending your bandwidth - a webinar can take
a lot.

Jerry is right. I looked at the commercial providers, and they have
everything needed, for pretty reasonable prices. And of course it's all
ready to go, with features I would not have even thought to include.
