Why do people put "Advertisement:" in front of ads on the web? I mean,
when you see an ad, it's obvious that it's an ad. Is there a reason
for doing so?

It's a CYA feature, to account for those who don't realise it's an
advert, click on it, don't like what they see and then blame the
operator of the site hosting the advert.

It is not always obvious, especially with text ads.
