Host Control Panels -- Is there a Standard One? Which Host has the Best?

I guess the title said it all. Is there a standard Host Control Panel?
WebHost4Life appears to have written their own. It looks like someone
who initially thought writing GUI's would east worked very hard at it,
and it is ALMOST OK . . . most of the time. Does any service have a
Stellar Control Panel?

In what way standard?

They all suck [1] from both admin & user perspective.

[1] dumb down the options available from the underlying server apps and o/s
