It's a podcast.

Do you know if it's just on the web, or is it a TV or radio programme?

I guess you've seen the bumpf on the BBC page:

<quote>
In this two-part series, Mike Embley investigates the culture, influence and
potential future impact of the world's biggest search engine.
Part One: The Googleplex

Of all of the search engines shifting and trawling the internet, why did
Google become the biggest?

In the first programme in this series, Mike Embley gains special access to
the Googleplex</quote>

So I was waiting on the next bit. However it does say that it's from the BBC
world service and further information at bbcworldservice.com but I couldn't
spot anything relevant.

Once in awhile I can get the BBC out here on shortwave, but it's sort of
rare. (all the stuff on the shortwave dial these days is religous junk
mixed in with EMF noise from the computers and/or other electronic devices)

Well that and overnight we can get BBC on an FM station via some arrangement
with public radio but I think it's only a few snipppets.

I wouldn't know if it's on the radio or not.

I have to settle for Cuban radio.

I'm kinda jealous of Europe, you folks have better radio than we do. :-P

and now... better podcasts too hrmpf!

Yep. It wasn't clear to me at first. I listened to the programme,
interesting. As you say it's from the World Service so it will probably
be on the radio listings somewhere.

I didn't realise we were spoiled!

You can get a lot of BBC radio streamed from their website.

From the quality of American radio these days, that isn't much of a
compliment!
