Because Kim Jong Il is insane.
He also said he once performed with Elvis.

Can't be that mad. He's standing up to US attempts at world
domination, and for that the free peoples of the world should applaud
him.
And before you get on your high horse, just remember the US has, since
the Second World War invaded Korea, VietNam, Afghanistan, Iraq,
Grenada and Cuba and also attempted to subvert almost all of Central
America (to bring it under US control), and has attacked Libya, and
planned to invade East Germany and the USSR - though thankfully Kim
Philby supplied full details to Stalin and the Third World War was
averted.

That may have been his original intent, except many more countries than
the US are concerned about his antics these days.

I've always wanted to be a writer someday; then I can make up stories too.

For a guy who runs an Encyclopedia website, you certainly have a rather
limited (and distorted) understanding of history. If you actually did
understand the facts, it might be a worthwhile debate, but your head's too
far up your XXX to bother with.
BTW - I have yet to hear anything about those war crimes charges against
Churchill for the bombing of Dresden. Surely this is the kind of thing we
can do posthumously. Are you with me?

He is not standing up against U.S. attempt at anything, he is
grandstanding because he is psychotic. He is also starving his people
and runs the most ruthless totalitarian state around today. No one at
all should applaud him.

Of course we had plans for that, we should have plan for a wide
variety of very unlikely actions. As for invading Stalinist Russia
that would have been a bad idea, but Stalin was certainly horrible for
the people under his control. We certainly invaded many places, but we
did not do the ethnic cleansing and killings in those places like
Stalin did.

I don't know of any such trials (or any rational trials at all)
posthumously. I would have thought that 'Bomber' Harris should stand
trial first though. He had a policy of deliberately attacking
civilians in retaliation (rather than as an unfortunate but necessary
move), that is a war crime. Of course it is the winner who picks and
chooses who gets tried and convicted so of course there were not
trials.

<rolls eyes>
It's not uncommon for nations to develop all sorts of war plans in case
they might need them. That doesn't mean any invasion was/is imminent.
I tried to research your assertion, but I couldn't find anything on my
own.; not even at your encyclopaedia. Perhaps you have a link you could
share?
