| Hi All
Don't know if this is possible, but one of my friends is looking to change
BBand ISP for his home and office to get better speed and he's been told
that the BBand ISP he is moving to just lacks giving him a static IP.
I know he can look at somebody else, but his mind is set and he's asked me
to see if it possible to get a static IP for a user who is on a dynamic IP
setup.
The reason for this is that he wants to connect into his office from home
and although his office machine could use dyndns to make this a specific
connection, it's the problem of his home/remote machine not having a static
ip that is the problem.
As he wants his office pc to only allow certain IPs in, how can he do this?
Would he have to spoof his IP via his router or is this all a complete
no-no?
Rgds
