I'm not complaining, all I'll say is that my email for all 53 domains
that I host is down for the third time in 7 days, I've lost 5 hosting
customers since yesterday morning due to this issue and it's time to
move to another hosting reseller before it costs me any more customers.

Can anyone suggest a good hosting reseller. Please do not recommend
page-zone, that's who I'm leaving.

TIA

Okay, I guess I did complain. I couldn't help myself. I'll check them
out.

Go with a VPS instead of a reseller account.

affordablehost
no wait, axishost

shit.

affordable-axis-host?

damn, i forget what she's calling herself this year.

get a dedi
you can pick up your own dualcore p4 for the same as a decent vps and
get a lot more resources and less headaches.
stop depending on hosts and take care of biz yourself.

Unless of course you yourself are unreliable and lax in patching in
which case you'll be owned quickly. :-\

If you want to step up to dedicated server situation I would strongly
recommend www.fastservers.net. Excellent facility/network and
professional 24-7 support, very competitive prices. We have a dedicated
server with them. It's been 2+ years and no complaints at all.

Thanks, but I had similar issues with AffordableHost when Tina still
owned it, so AxisHost is out of the question.

I'm leaning towards VPS. I don't really push the hosting part of my
business, it's an add-on for those whose websites I design, so dedicated
is more hassle than I want to deal with.

it's not a hassle losing clients? or your rep? ;)

i was j/k about a-host ;)

you can learn how to secure a server in a weekend. i did and trust me,
if i can, anyone can.
then just follow it up with regular maint as part of your daily habits
and monitoring rituals.
i went dedi for my work a long time ago and haven't looked back since,
except to upgrade ;)
now holding my 16th in the us and uk. no host bs, and no downtime.
you learn how to screw with dns and mod_sec real fast ;)
