Already tried that. It only works until he\she\it morphs - then, open the newsreader and there's a round of it talking to itself
under a new name. Rather annoying.
I haven't seen any of the reg'lars posting from there, so I figured I'd just block the whole block a la Google Groups.

Hrmm - I wonder if a well co-ordinated campaign would convince a
sufficient number of news server admins to drop them

Along with those of anyone else posting from there. (And assuming
that's the FQDN in his MIDs. (I haven't looked; I just killed him for
30 days with a temporary filter on his From header.))
