| Humour me please, I need to provide an answer.
My client has now asked if I can set-up their site with 5 - 8MB of space
on a shared server. I think the cost of a dedicated machine is scaring them.
Are there 5 - 8MB shared hosting accounts out there at reasonable cost?
Req: MySQL, PHP, Decent chunk of bandwidth.
Pref: UK based.
Many thanks

Richard,
in your last posting you said your client wanted 10-20 GB of space. Do you
really mean 5 - 8 *MB* (which every host will give you) or 5 - 8 *GB* ?

My mistake, I meant GB
No worries though, I have been offered a solution now by my favorite host.

No need for shared server. 5-8MB is nothing where most hosts offer hundreds
of megs of disk space.

Dunno about UK based, but those are trivial hosting requirements in
today's markets. I like to use Dreamhost.com, where you can far
exceed those requirements for $8/month. (That Dreamhost account will
support 3 sites, including one domain registration, and gives you
several *thousand* MB of space and 120GB/month of bandwidth -- FAR in
excess of your requirements.)
There are also cheaper options, but $8/month is already so cheap that
it's not worth much effort looking IMHO.
