I'm not going away. I am busy answering HelpDesk tickets and chat, as
always, and all of the servers are going to remain at our datacenter.

Does this mean that basically you've sold the company for gobs of money,
but you and your team are still running the day-to-day operations?

Well said. I dunno, I'm still in shock because I didn't read the
dotCanada buy out email with the right level of attention. It just
hit me to day that Tina's outta there.

I'm pissed you can damn sure betcha. The communications situation had
been deteriorating there, chat room geting squirrely, the joe job
stuff without a single stick of email communication going out to those
indepenedent email addresses we had on file, and now the move to new
owners is rather icing on the cake, but does give me an nod of
"ah... no fuggin wonder." And surprise surprise that last special
on extending accounts into the future just a month or so ago... One
can't help but feel sold like a market cow.

I go between wanting to be loyal to Tina and move to Axishost for her
tireless support for the past years, and wanting to throttle her for
the feeling of betrayal that's inevitable when you're left stuck with
a company you don't know.

Tina, kudos for some good years. Kudos for windfall, but will I chase
after you after this so you can sell me again? I don't think so.

So where are the good cpanel hosts with online tech support that
exceeds 9am-5pm, and how much of a pain in the XXX will I have
migrating about 15 domains over there?

Best Regards,

Whats been the experience with the http://themooseisloose.net host
folks? Never heard of them. Their service and pricing looks
interesting. Just wonder what folks who use them think of their
hosting? I wouldn't mind splitting up my hosting so I can jump ship
one way or the other should my current host go south without having a
panic attach when I get blindsided such as it appears some of you with
Affordable have.

Sorry if this repeat of my contribution to the earlier part of this thread
annoys, but...

www.httpme.com
I've had their 50-domain $35/month plan for three years and am well pleased.
Their support service (I agree, this is SO important) is second to all the
others I learn of.

The person that owns themooseisloose pops in here now and than. I have two
accounts with her and have only had one problem that came up when she was
out of town. Heads rolled and things got fixed fast upon her return.
Refunds for down time came quick without asking for it. You can't go to far
wrong with the try-before-you-buy plan she has. Good time to check out the
service.

I also have two accounts with page-zone. Only problem I have had there was
when theu installed phpsuexec. After that I had to change a few file
extentions because phpsuexec disallows using AddType in your .htaccess
file.

Both are very good in spite of their low price.

So that's what happened. I was wondering why we suddenly had a small rush of
new orders. I thought it was either fraud or we hit a good spot at a search
engine. That is until some familiar names at alt.www.webmaster started
showing up. I checked and and found out there is some shakeup at AH. It's
been dead around Page-Zone for new orders lately. I'd like to thank anyone
who recommended us and will kick it in the XXX a little to make sure
everyone is fully satisfied that decided to try us out.

Have fun with the ASCII thingy! (so that's why the server is slow!)

You're right, the hatch patterns site is not new, it was my first!
(Early 1998, initially under my first ISP's webspace). And as you can
see, hasn't been changed much!

My main thing just now is the house sales site.
