| I haven't seen anybody in news.software.readers providing feedback here
in a.w.w (only in n.s.r[1]) but here's something solid form there, today

A small test indicates that howardk.freenix.org is probably 'better'
than message-id.net. The former finds <news:anews.Aucbarpa.111>, the
oldest News article in Google Groups, while the latter doesn't, probably
due to the 'strange'/old format of the MID.

[1]The typical reaction there boils down to: "Nothing new."

Try including the <angled brackets>. This will force Message-ID.net to
find a message ID regardless of whether it contains an @-sign.
http://message-id.net/<anews.Aucbarpa.111>
Including the angled brackets has been possible since the site launch, but
I've not made a song and dance of it. I've now changed all the examples on
the site to use angled brackets though.

If I run across that thread, I'll pass that along.

I love it when a plan comes together. :)
