WebLinkMonitor.com Feedback Wanted
|
|
|
| To all,
We have just launched a new web site for monitoring web sites, domain name
expiration dates, and computer statistics (cpu, memory, disk space,
processes, logs, etc.)
If anyone would like to review the features of the service, we'd be more
than willing to find out what you think. We are also offering a discount
that would allow you to use the service for free.
The web address is http://www.weblinkmonitor.com.
Thank you,
Rodney Copeland, President
Off-Site Labs, Inc.

Much of the text is unreadable, two of the text images are unreadable, all
of the links point to the same page. Drop the crappy clip-art.

| I can't read the text on your site, so have no idea what it's about.

This one is a pure example of web NoNoS.
Because of poor quality and usability of your website I would not even dare
to test the features of your service, faaaar from using it, even if it
remains free.

yes, of course that's how it works - but you knew that really.

blue text on blue background probably wasn't the best design choice.

Validation errors -

Primarily because you don't have a doc type and don't know where your css is
supposed to go.
Only way I could find out what your site did from the home page was to
manually highlight some very small blue on blue text.
You're better off using no clip art or pics if those are the best you've
got.

Your sites not bad. Could be a lot better though.
You should take a look at your main page in FireFox with images
disabled. You get two very small sections of text which very briefly
explain what the site is about. Useing images too display content is a
bad idea as Screen Readers and text only browsers can not view the
content. Unless you provide alt text for the images. It's a lot easyer
to just use plain text. Also with images turned off and colors on. The
Yellow on white text is hard too read.

Oh. Another thing I should mention, "Yellow" is not a valid choice of
background colour. You need to use the # of the colour.
