I have been using a system on one of my sites called
http://affiliate.ihsadvantage.com

With over 600,000 visitors to our site we expected great income from
this system. It turned out to be only about $5-$10 a month in
profits.

Wondering if anybody can recommend a better affiliate service.

My experience is that affiliate schemes in general do not make much
money unless the product is very so much a part of the content of the
site that it becomes one of the reasons why people visit it. So, for
example, if you want to make money out of hotel reservations, you need
to have a site that people will visit with the intention of making a
reservation. Simply advertising hotel reservations on a site which
people generally visit for other reasons is not going to be
particularly profitable.

My experience is that contextual advertising (eg, Google Adsense or
Overture) delivers far more income than affiliate links, for the
majority of websites.

Thanks Mark...

The reservations affiliation does match the content of the site quite
well as it is a statewide lodging site.

I have used Adsense with success making $125 to $250 a month.

What does Overture have to offer similar to Adsense?
