Hi all,

I am new of the newsgroup. I would like to download the Blaxxun Client
SDK (not just the documentation), but the link in the blaxxun website
is broken. Any suggestion?

Do you know if it is still working and supported by blaxxun? Is anyone
still using it?

Thanks,
Marco

The Blaxxun SDK is no longer available, you have to buy the SDK from
www.bitmanagement.de

The Blaxxun SDK was of little use, so many things just weren't covered
in the example or documentation.

Thanks fabricator,

but does the sdk of bitmanagement support multiuser worlds? I want to
create a 3d chat like Oddessey, but customizing the client. What is the
best solution?

I don't remember of a download-all link, but the older documentation
of Platform is still there, which is imho what you were looking for.
http://developer.blaxxun.com/products/server/docs/40/

As for the documentation of the older blaxxun client for the multiusers
part, you can find it there:
http://developer.blaxxun.com/doc/3d...s2.html#1046965

Bitmanagement's SDK is for the latest version of the client.

I am not expert about Blaxxun, so maybe I didn't understand something.
In http://developer.blaxxun.com there is a link "sdk" that is not
working (it links to
http://www.blaxxun.com/en/products/sdk/index.html). I thought I could
download the sdk of the client there, but I don't know if that link
ever worked.

What you say is that I have to buy the Blaxxun Platform for the
multiuser part, and the Bitmanagement's SDK for the client. Is it true?
Ok for the Blaxxun Platform, but what I don't understand is that BS
Contact VRML, alone, doesn't open multiuser worlds like those found in
http://virtuality3d.co.uk/. I need the blaxxun contact for them. This
is why I need the Blaxxun Client SDK. But maybe I missed something.

Please help me to understand all this stuff.

Interesting, I run BSContact 6.1 and can still use the multiuser
ability with no problem.
Unless BSManagement has removed the mu ability from later versions of
course,
I'll have to ask which HTML browser are you trying to use?
If it's something other than I.E. you simply might be missing the dlls
needed in the plugin folder.
But even if you get them, be prepared that anything other than I.E.
will experience a high crash rate.
In fact, be prepared that even with using I.E. 6 you will probably have
a high crash rate, unless
you are willing to download/install some third party software.

I tried both Contact 6.1 and 6.2 from the bitamanagement site, and they
only work with single user worlds. Obviously, if I have both blaxxun
and BS Contact installed I am able to see multiuser worlds, with BS
Contact showing the world and blaxxun supporting multiuser. But with
only BS Contact installed, a white screen appears at the botton of the
screen if I open a multiuser world.

I used both IE 6 and Firefox

hmmm......as I said I can run 6.1 mu in I.E. without any problems.
I think Contact has plugin issues with Firefox, the I.E. 6 problem is a
mystery to me.
Try the forum at http://www.x79.net
It includes many of the same folks as here,
but you will probably get a quicker response from Holger
(Contact's programmer)
BTW have you tried the Contact MU system at http:www.vrmlworld.net?
You'll need Java installed and it won't work in Firefox.

We got a new version fixing the window size problem there was afaik.

You probably had the blaxxun client installed previously. Afaik,
the 3D frame of the chat can use BS Contact fine, but it's
the chat-client part (the frame tha'st usually below) that requires
the 'older' Contact as this part was "commented out" or something
as blaxxun owns the server part.

And we don't bite :-)
