Problem opening a virtual world with MATLAB
|
|
|
| Hi !
I am working on a project that is based on making a virtual world and
opening and changing it through the MATLAB interface. I have made the
world in V-Realm Builder and it opens perfectly fine with the Internet
Explorer (I am using Blaxxun Plug-in). The problem arises when I try to
view the world through MATLAB.i.e.
w = vrworld('myworld.wrl');
open(w);
view(w);
The problem that I face is that the objects that I have used from the
library, are not diplayed properly. Rather they appear out of scale and
highly deformed.
I will be really thankful if somebody can help...
Thanks,
Imad

This may be because your world does not conform to VRML standard and
each of the viewers has chosen to display it in a different way, or it
may be a plain bug in the internal VRML viewer used in MATLAB.
I'm afraid I can't tell much without seeing the world, or at least the
relevant part of it. Because I'm somewhat responsible for what happens
in the internal viewer of MATLAB, please send the file to me and I'll
try to figure something out.

Because the mu at vrmlworld.net uses proprietory blaxxun js EAI calls,
which are freely available at blaxxun developers. Cortona on the other
hand
supposedly has the capability, but the it's proprietory calls are
hidden
on the $700+ Cortona SDK. You have to pay to use them.

You want multi-user multi browser?
Then try Deep Matrix. It is so multi-browser it
works with Mac Cosmo.
