Author Octaga 2.1 Is Out - BSContact Still Better

I keep hoping someone will come out with a viewer to best BSContact, because
I don't like their pricing schedule. Octaga 2.1 has plenty of bells and
whistles, but for just viewing VRML or X3D models, BSContact is still far
superior to all comers.

Maybe intuitive, responsive viewing isn't as important as I think it is. But
isn't that why Google Earth is so successful? Why is it that only Bit
Management and Key Hole can accomplish smooth, nearly instantaneous movement
no matter the size of the model?

So, I don't know how BSContact compares to Octaga in the bells and whistles
department, that's not important to me if the basics aren't there. Octaga
seemed to be a huge install, at least it took long enough, so I'll be happy
to remove it once again.

Dale,

Have you actually checked into the cost of BS Contact?
I just licensed http://vrmlworld.net and it really isn't that
bad. You should contact Axel.koerfer@bitmanagement.de
and ask him what it would cost for your situation.
