Hello everybody.
I'm trying to learn VRML/X3D so I found in the web some .wrl file as
example to better understand how can I work with this tecnologies.
I cannot read files .wrl with a normal text editor, is it normal? Are
they compressed in some way? There is a way to read these example or not?
Thank you,
Bye bye,
Giuseppe.

Some are compressed and some aren't, and they can still have the same file
extension, although some compressed files have .wrz file extension. I open
the compressed ones with WinZip or Chisel.

Some VRML-Files are compressed. Use the Unix command `gzip“ to
decompress it or rename it to `file.wrl.gz“ and open it with the
MS-Windows utility WinZip.

7-Zip is another Windows utility that compresses/decompresses .gz files.
