Author VRML to AVI / GIF

Of course I would rather show VRML but some browsers don't support it.
Also, an animated GIF, AVI or MPG is handy, as a preview. Moray, in
conjunction with POVRay 3.5 (doesn't work well with 3.6), can make
great-looking animations and, if you turn on "output alpha", it outputs
transparent PNGs, that can be combined into an animated GIF with any GIF
animator. The only problem: Moray has no free VRML import/export options.
(There is a plugin that claims to do conversion, for a price, but I am chary
of paying for the full version when the demo doesn't work.)

So, I have written a VRML import/export for Moray. Right now it only works
with Moray mesh2 objects and IndexedFaceSet but that's all I needed. It
also has limited ability to read DXF 3DFACE entities.

While you're there, check out my dome creation plugin.

Best regards,
Henry
