Dear VRML supporters,

Just a word to announce the release of Demotride 1.1, a new standalone 3D
scene viewer based on VRML97, developped at the National Research Council of
Canada. Demotride is made available to encourage research and development in
the field of 3D interaction.

This new viewer provides exceptional support for the VRML97 standard, while
also providing useful extensions and supporting hardware graphics
acceleration.

To freely download Demotride or for more information, please visit its web
site at: www.demotride.net

I installed Demotride on a Win2K PC and most things seemed to work
properly. However, the 'v' key to change viewpoints didn't seem work.

I have also listed Demotride on http://cic.nist.gov/vrml/vbdetect.html

Currently, to call a predefined viewpoint, users have to push the 'v' key
and then do a right click to display the viewpoint list.

Since the right-click part is not indicated in the help page, you couldn't
figure that out. Thanks for noticing it, I will correct this for the next
release.

I'm no Windows programmer, so I wouldn't know how to tell you how to do
this, but when you install, there's usually some indication of where the
installation goes, along with some kind of desktop shortcut, or a shortcut
in the Start menu. I'm now doing a full disk search to find out where the
heck the executable is, and I hope that either it or the folder it's in has
the word "demotride" in its name. Maybe a little notice on the Install page
would help.
