| hey people, sorry if i seem like a complete doofus....
i'm looking into vrml to produce a walkthrough over a terrain which i've created and draped a texture over in 3ds max 6.
i can easily export my scene as a vrml file, and view the object in a vrml viewer (been using Octaga to view). the problem is though that my terrain remains as though its just an object and not some land i can wander around upon.
what do i need to do to make my 3d terrain into an environment and not just a useless object that rotates and can be zoomed in on?
i have been searching the net everywhere for some kind of tutorial or a magic software package that would make this process simple for me. admittedly my inexperience of vrml is probably the thing thats holding me back as i don't where to go next or what i should be looking up.
any help greatfully welcomed and appreciated,
cheers dudes,
