Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of a human body
model created using VRML (preferably female) which needs to be used
for a virtual dressing room. It would be preferable to also have the
code but this is not essential.

Sincerely,

Tanisha

Hello,

You can use the freeware AvatarStudio to create your own personalized
avatar (a body with or without clothes).
I'm not sure you can easily make it wear your own clothes ... But I'm
sure that you can personnalize the body : male/female, size of the
head, of the legs, etc.
The avatars generated with AS are not modifiable outside AS, the code
is too much in bulk.

PS: Please forgive my bad english ...

Avatar Studio Avatars CAN be modified after export to vrml in a program
called Seamless II, currently under development by Thyme.
http://www.seamless3d.com/ Its the only program I know that can untwist
the matrix transformations and import the avatar mesh for editing.

It also exports in several 3d formats including X3DVRML, X3DXML,
HAnimNodes, IDxTriSetNodes and of course blaxxun-style avatar mode.

It also does a lot of other cool things.

FreeWRL 1.10 contains a H-ANIM 1 (joints and segments, not skin and bones)
walking/running/jumping low polygon female avatar in the file

tests/H-Anim/nancy_h-anim.wrl

so long
