Hi everybody,

i'm looking for a converter to translate Nurbs created by 3DStudio Viz
(I haven't got Max).
I have only founded Bitmanagement Software converter at this link
http://www.bitmanagement.de/develop...r/exporter.html
but ftp://ftp.blaxxun.de/pub/developer/.../exporter30.zip isn't
available.
Can anyone send me this exporter? Can it run under Viz?

Thanks!
pMB

If 3DStudio Viz supports VRML97 Amendment 1 Nurbs

following http://www.web3d.org/x3d/specificat...html#NurbsCurve

the most simplest shapes (NurbsCurve and NurbsSurface) can be converted
with white_dune to a IndexedFaceSet.

For NurbsCurve and NurbsSurface the X3D-type NURBS are rather similar to
the VRML97 Amendment 1 ones.
They contain a additional "?closed" field and "NurbsSurface" is renamed to
"NurbsPatchSurface".

Please tell me more. How can you read VRML data into ArtofIllusion ?
AFAIK ArtofIllusion can only import .obj (Alias Wavefront) files.
Do you know about a special VRML import plugin ?
I also did not know, ArtofIllusion has support for NurbsSurface objects...
