Hi,

i'm searching for a Java VRML Viewer.

It must be able to use this viewer as java Component
(in an Applet AND in an Swing Application)

so it must be 100% pure Java and no Java3D

is there something like this at the market?

for money, or not?

Thanks

There are programs to do this (like cortona jet)
but doing 3D without 3D hardware acceleration is rather useless.

Without 3D hardware acceleration, it is not uncommon the performance
can sink by a factor of 100 or more.

Remember: The success of 3D games came with the 3D hardware acceleration
in the graphicscard.
Without java3D or a similar technology (e.g. OpenGL or Direct3D) noone
would buy a computer with the usual Nvidia or ATI graphicscard.
