The ISO14772-2 implementation in Xj3D (http://www.xj3d.org/)
is functional. It is a standalone browser only - and
requires 1.4.

If you ask about "can", then try FreeWRL (Linux/MacOSX).
People say, there are already some missings in the EAI implemenation, but it
can work with java1.4.??
