Just in time for Siggraph 2004, the Blender 2.34 release! Packed with
new features, from particles forcefields and collisions to advanced UV
mapping and Ramp shading.

Blender can export VRML and X3D too.

Really ? For VRML 2.0 (.wrl) i only get a Python error:

$ /usr/local/src/blender-2.34-irix-6.5-mips/blender -w
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
sys_init:warning - no sitedirs added from site module.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 128, in ?
ImportError: No module named math

For VRML 1.0, blender opens a fileselector with a file with the default
".blend" extension
And there is nothing in the "File -> Export" menu, that has something to
do with X3D 8-(

Works perfect on windows. But in addition you can try this X3D/ VRML exporter:

Really ? I also tested it on windows, no errormessage, but it was not able
to write the VRML code of primitives like box 8-(

Can you public somewhere a .blender file, which has something more usefull
to export ?

To obtain the exact length of the text, use the ... GetWindowText function.
