Haven't been able to reach Cosmoplayer download site from ca. Is it
really dead?

Not really. The M$Windows and Mac-(classic) version is still available
from the NIST organisation.

The IRIX (SGI UNIX) version of cosmoplayer (plus IRIX version of cosmoworlds)
is available from the sgi website

BTW. Is CosmoPlayer free? And is this license (http://ca.com/cosmo/html/license.htm) still valid?

Sorry I used the name for it. It's called
PivoronPlayer. The company's name was Nexternet.
You can find it by clicking the vrml-plugins tab.
