3D interactive exploration from CAD design

| Hi, I am trying to find a software that allows a "common user" to
create an interactive presentation starting from cad designs. I tried
IPA www.immdesign.com (take a look at the examples if you like) but
this save in file format that isn't standard and I have many problems
using it for a stereoscopic visualization. I supposed that vrml would
be a nice choice but I am in doubt for the ability of vrml to manage
big file size and I haven't still found a good simple editor for my
aim. The system will be used from someone who probably doesn't know
much about programming and so on.
Can u suiggest me a good editor or new ideas for my research?
Thank you in advice, I will keep you update

You should not use white_dune to judge that. It writes files in
a very uneffective, slow way, especially under M$Windows. Saving to a
M$Windows share from M$Windows is a horror even for small files.
For a fix, throw the POSIX standardization book to a person at Redmond/USA 8-)
White_dune also do not use (yet) filesize reduction technologies like
the limiting of indentation or compressing the output with gzip.
Did you take a look at filesize reducers like chisel ?
Big filesize can mean too much data for realtime 3D. Beside technology like
NURBS in VRML97 Amendment 1 there is no simple way for mesh reduction in
VRML. There are tools, but they are either slow, expensive or only exist
on exotic systems 8-(

I didn't find a working version of chisel.
Now I am focusing on the parallelgraphics solutions. They appear to be
the best full suite for developing an interactive demo or virtual
manual.
There is any other alternative? Doesn't matter if it's expensive.
Does anyone used it? If so, how many programming work must be done for
give a sufficient level of intercativity to a model like the examples
shown on the internet site of parallelgraphics?
I am evaluating the possibility of purchasing it but the person who
will use the software has only a basic knowledge of programming
languages and I need a tool that can add interactivity without a long
programming work.

This seems to be a good tool, I have to evaluate it in comparison to
the parallelgraphics one. I am starting the tests now.
I will keep u updated about the results.
