Author WYSIWYG editors for Linux?

Since I'm intending to create a fairly large and detailed worlds, In
particular, I need to be able to use the LOD, and Inline nodes.

I have had a good playing around with both White Dune and MjbWorld under
windows, Both are are very good editors dispite still being under
development, however at this stage seem to lack proper support for the LOD
and Inline nodes (ie they don't show in 3D view, etc) which for the project
I am embarking on I feel is essential.

Are there any other WYSIWYG VRML editors that currently offer full handling
of those nodes?

Thanks

Can you public a example of not working LOD in white_dune ?
At least simple LOD examples should be shown with the latest beta
version (0.27beta82) of white_dune (sorry for Inlines...)

Cosmoworlds displays Inline and Lod nodes (it's the only program that
shows Inlines afaik). But - it's costly and it's a Windows program.
But it works in WINE.

Cosmoworlds (1.0.3) also exists on SGI IRIX (UNIX) for free. Cause of binary
compatiblity, the is a little chance to start it under Linux on a SGI hardware,
if you have the matching shared libraries.

But if you have a SGI with IRIX, there is a simpler way to use
cosmoworlds on a Linux terminal: simply use OpenGL over the net.
If the SGI supports a 100 MBit connection, it can be fast enough,
maybe not for full rendering, but the SGI cosmoworlds supports draw styles
like low resolution or wireframe.

The latest version of white_dune (0.27beta88) support now the preview
of the first level of a Inline node - Inlines in Inlines are not shown 8-(
it should also support the preview of LOD since a earlier 0.27beta version.

see http://www.csv.ica.uni-stuttgart.de/vrml/dune/down.html

As with all brandnew beta versions, not all may be perfect at once.
Please report reproducable problems...
