Since installing XP SP2 in my machine I have to jump thru 10 million hoops
to get pluggins and activeX components to run in IE6.

I think the browser developers should make a simple standalone version of
the browsers which you just download and run. These would need still access
web urls.

Just a thought.

There are several standalone VRML browsers and Java VRML browsers listed
at http://cic.nist.gov/vrml/vbdetect.html

I don't suppose anyone has actually documented what settings need to be
changed ?

I know I have to enable the two "Allow active Content" boxes at the
bottom of the advanced tab but what are the other settings ?
