Author launching java3d application problem

Hi everybody. I know you have a lot of VRML problems but
has anybody here successfully launch java3d applet or
application?
If so, could you outline the procedure? I am sure there is a way, but i
can;t seem to get it right.

Yes. Some java3d examples and xj3d Milestone 7.

- Install the java package
For me, this was always the newest available version from SUN
- Install a matching java3D package
- you may need to update your CLASSPATH
- pray (optional)
- try to start a java3d example according to the README files

For some xj3d versions, i did not have success under Linux, cause of
some library problems 8-(
