Is this Too Much To Ask ? 3-rows, header, fluid middle and bottom footer

| I searched and searched and NADA !
please help.
I need to have 3 rows that include a:
header fixed on the top
middle that occupies 100% of available space
and a fotter that is fixed to the bottom of the page.

You might look at

I think he has a sticky footer there... And he seems to have a
header and yes... there is some content too...

Wow ... thanks for the plug, dorayme! Yes, that method has proven to be
pretty successful. The CSS of interest is contained in the following files:
http://beta.ksscholl.com/jquery/css/default.css
http://beta.ksscholl.com/jquery/css/ie.css
the latter being called conditionally in the HTML. The core elements
which allow the sticky footer are:
html
body
container
main1column
footer
through manipulation of height, margin, and padding.

It's ironic that, though ALA has posted some surprisingly useful
articles over the years, I've always found the site to be most readable
with CSS disabled. :-\
