Author Stylesheets - Help for a newbie...

Hi everyone!

I learned HTML code awhile back... and I've been out of the loop. I'm
currently a personal assistant for a realtor. They hired someone they
knew (a friend) to do her website and that person used Yahoo!
Sitebuilder. Unfortunately, everytime I want to change the nav
buttons, I have to use that blasted thing... I saved the site to
another location so it doesn't mess with the links. Anyhow, my
question regarding CSS sheets is this...

I'm having trouble figuring out how to make an image at the top and an
image down the left side... also I need to include a nav button and one
more image in the middle. Does anyone have a good CSS tutorial that is
more than the "basics" given by Microsoft and their Frontpage crew.
That tutorial didn't include anything regarding images or divs.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Heather
P.S. I prefer using raw code to an editor... much like my husband
prefers his old Canon 35mm camera because it always works right and
takes beautiful pictures. :)

Buy a book or two.

Head First HTML & CSS (O'Reilly press)

Cascading Stylesheets, Lie & Bos

Both are good tutorials: well-written, accurate and teaching good
practice.

Throw away all wizzy editors or site builders and just use a simple
text editor.

Post a URL to your site and keep reading and posting to these groups.
